New Elementary School Opened in Honor of Allen Aldridge, Jr.

Allen Aldridge, Jr.
Fort Bend ISD kicked off the 2025-2026 school year with the opening of the Allen Aldridge Jr Elementary School, which honors the memory and is named after the son of Cleotha Aldridge, a founding member of the Professional Football Players Mothers Association.
Allen was drafted by the Denver Broncos where he earned an NFL Super Bowl Victory. He ended his career playing with the Detroit Lions. Allen taught at George Bush High School (FBISD). His duties also included Head Football Coach and campus Athletic Director. Allen spent years as a community leader and was well respected by many and was considered a role model for the youth that he mentored and coached.
Allen Aldridge Elementary honors the late Bush High School football coach and community leader Allen Aldridge, Jr. This two-story, technology-rich campus combines bright, innovative architecture with modern, innovative classrooms.
Among its standout features is a shaded outdoor learning deck surrounded by preserved trees, along with nature-themed murals in each grade-level pod that highlight pollination and character-building traits. At the heart of the school, a light-filled library serves as a hub for exploration, reading and collaboration.
“Everything about this campus was designed to make learning feel exciting and meaningful,” Bankhead said. “It’s a place where students will be inspired every day—both inside and outside the classroom.”
