Welcome to the Professional Football Players Mothers Association (PFPMA)! We're so glad you're considering joining our organization. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you get to know us better.

Q:    WHAT IS PFPMA?

A.   The Professional Football Players Mothers Association, Inc. also known as 'PFPMA', is a national 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of mothers and those who serve in that role, of current and former professional football players.  It is a membership association, support system and network for mothers of professional football players. Our broad goal is to help support mothers and their sons understand and navigate the business of  football and build a strong foundation of support for success.  

Q:    WHAT IS PFPMA'S MISSION?

A:  Our mission is to be a support system for the mothers of professional football players and to serve, support educate, and strengthen our communities through charitable giving.

Q:    WHAT IS PFPMA'S PURPOSE and OBJECTIVES?

 A: PFPMA's purpose and objectives include:

  • Developing and presenting educational programs and public relations initiatives designed to promote a positive image of professional football players as athletes and young men.
  • Presenting educational seminars for families of professional football players and those aspiring to enter the profession, to help orient them to the world of professional football and to inform them of available programs and benefits.

  • Assisting our professional football players sons in their own personal and professional development to present an image that exemplifies sportsmanlike behavior, high moral values and good character.

  • Assisting our professional football players sons in their charitable and community service efforts by developing projects and other initiatives designed to benefit the communities in which they live and make their living.

  • Supporting our sons, as professional football players, other professional football players and those that may aspire to join that profession, and the families of professional football players through charitable and educational initiatives.

Q:    WHO CAN JOIN PFPMA?

A:  PFPMA's membership application is open to any mother, or person who serves that role in the life of a current or former NFL football player.  

Q:    WHAT IS THE COST OF MEMBERSHIP?

A:  The annual dues for a new member is $150.00. Annual dues for a returning member is $200.00. The annual membership renewal period runs July 1 through October 1.

Q:    HOW OFTEN DOES THE ASSOCIATION MEET?

A:   PFPMA's general assembly of members meet twice a year; during the early spring (March/April) for the general annual business meeting, and mid-summer (June/July) for the pre-season conference or retreat. The preseason conference and retreat events are hosted on a bi-annual schedule as a fundraiser event designed to raise awareness and support for the organization's mission; or as a retreat designed for members take time to form bonds with one another, focus on their purpose, personal development and self care. Other opportunities to meet occur during activations at the NFL sanctioned events such as the Pro Bowl, Super Bowl, NFL Draft, as well as, community impact events hosted locally throughout the regions. Regional, committee and special meetings are held as needed.
